CITROËN XM SALOON / ESTATE - ALL MODELS
The XM range has 7 suspension spheres. It is important that these are replaced (as a minimum) in front or rear groups of three since the centre spheres when fully charged control the softness of the ride when in comfort mode.
It has been found that XM spheres require replacement at more frequent intervals than other models, possibly due to their small size in relation to the car's weight. Even if your car is one of the last produced it will almost certainly require replacement of all seven spheres. Certain models, i.e.V6, 3-litre and 24 valve cars have extremely inaccessible hydra-active spheres incurring slight additional labour cost.
